Clossery Healing Techniques

Acupressure– A type of Asian healing art based on ancient Japanese and Chinese medicine. A practitioner puts pressure on specific points on the body with his or her fingers in order to relieve pain and discomfort, prevent tension-related ailments, and promotes good health.  

Acupuncture– The Chinese practice of gently inserting fine needles into the body at specific points to cure disease, relieve pain and balance the energy systems in the body. 

Applied Kinesiology– A method of testing muscles to find imbalances in the body. Rebalancing using massage of lymphatic areas, holding neurovascular points, running acupuncture meridians, holding acupuncture points, finding the proper nutritional support and addressing emotional aspects that are involved.

Aromatherapy– The use of essential oils extracted from plants and herbs to treat conditions ranging from infections and skin disorders to immune deficiencies and stress. Essential oils work on the emotional, physical, etheric.

Breath-Work– The human breath has long been honored as a powerful pathway within the self to relieve pain, release blocked emotions, and deepen states of spirituality. Indian “prana,” Chinese “chi” and Japanese “ki” refer to the power of breath and its basic life force energy which enable all living things. When we restrict this life force we create disharmony and dis-ease. Breath Work uses the full dynamics of our natural breathing path to open restricted patterns to access both the inner world and the higher self for personal healing and well-being.

EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing)– An advanced, rapid therapy approach for stress-related symptoms, traumatic memories, and to shift core beliefs. With bi-lateral stimulation of both sides of the brain, EMDR allows the brain to reprocess the experience and go for a healthy resolution. The eye movements process the unconscious material like what is happening in REM or dream sleep and unlock the nervous system which allows re-integration of positive information and outcome. Your own brain with this technology does the healing and you are in control. 

Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT) – Uses elements of Cognitive Therapy and Exposure Therapy, and combines them with Acupressure, in the form of fingertip tapping on 12 acupuncture points. Over 20 clinical trials published in peer-reviewed medical and psychology journals have demonstrated that EFT is effective for phobias, anxiety, depression, post-traumatic stress disorder, pain, and other problems.

Feng Shui– The ancient Chinese art of intentionally arranging the spaces in which we live and work so that they are energetically balanced, so that they comfort and nurture and fully support and help us manifest what we need and want. Following the principles of feng shui, we place our furniture, introduce color and accessories, apply cures, and use our intention to create abundance, joy, and harmony in our lives.

Guided Imagery– Guided Imagery uses the power of the mind to bring about healing. It is in the body-mind where we hold perceptions of the past, in the form of emotions and images. Our beliefs are different because our perceptions of the past are unique. Though imagery we can disengage beliefs that interfere with a healthy life.

Holistic Counseling– A counseling approach which focuses on the whole self, feelings, thoughts, and how these are connected to the body.

 Holistic Medicine– That form of alternative medicine which focuses on (a) personal accountability for one’s health; (b) the human body’s ability to heal itself; and (c) balancing the body, mind, and spirit with the environment.

Homeopathy– A natural pharmaceutical science that utilizes substances from the plant, mineral, and animal kingdoms and is based on the premise that these naturally occurring substances can cure disease symptoms similar to those they produce if taken in overdose. Each medicine is individually prescribed according to how it stimulates the immune and defense systems of the sick person.

Medical Intuitive – Medical Intuition is a tool to give an accurate portrait of what is going on in a client’s body by paying close attention to gain accurate insight into the presenting symptoms of a client. The body offers much information to be shared such as the roots and influences of the present condition, what it wants and does not want and a physical, emotional/spiritual portrait of what is currently going on.

Past Life / Regression Therapy – Past-life therapy and regression therapy are based on the premise that many physical, mental, and emotional problems are extensions of unresolved problems from the past--whether from childhood traumas or from experiences in previous lifetimes. The practitioner uses hypnosis and relaxation techniques to access the source of this "unfinished business," and helps clients to analyze, integrate, and release past traumas that are interfering with their current lives. 

Psychic Healing – A psychic receives information from Spirit, and in accordance with universal permission, and the permission of the recipient, is able to provide information and guidance to the recipient. There are also occasions where the psychic can also be a catalyst for the stimulation of the innate healing energy within the recipient. Afterlife: Almost every society and religion has some belief in life after death. Many societies believe that life simply continues in another plane of existence.

Akashic Records:Akasha is Sanskrit for ether, and it is said that within this Etheric state of being, the records of everything is stored, our future, as well as the present, and past memories of all experiences since the beginning of time, believed by some mystical doctrines to be stored permanently in a spiritual substance (Akasha).

Altered State of Consciousness (ASC): A term used to refer to any state of consciousness that is different from "normal" states of waking or sleeping. ASCs include hypnosis, trance, ecstasy, psychedelic and meditative experience. ASCs do not necessarily have paranormal features.

Amulet:Any object that's thought to have the power to ward off ghosts and evil spirits or to bring good luck.

Angel:A supernatural being that exists on the level between God and mortals is said to be an angel. One of the duties of the angels is thought to act as guardians over humans.

Apparition: An apparition is the appearance of a human shaped form by seeing with it the naked eye or by being photographed or by video.  At times, an apparition will appear as a solid human form or have a vaporous appearance.

Astral body: One’s soul or etheric body separated temporarily as during a dream or out-of-body experience or permanently as in death.

Astral Projection: The process where our etheric body, spirit or mind separates from the physical body whilst maintaining a level of consciousness.

Aura:In scientific terms, the normal electromagnetic field that surrounds the body; in metaphysical terms, the life force surrounding the body is presented in color, with the color corresponding the body’s physical and/or emotional state.

Clairaudience: The ability to receive a spirit’s message through sound.

Clairsentience: The ability to feel or sense a spirit’s presence and/or message.

Clairvoyance: A type of extrasensory perception (ESP), clairvoyance is the ability to see objects, events, places and people not visible through normal sight. Some individuals are gifted with clairvoyance throughout their lives while others may experience only one clairvoyant event in their life.

Crisis Apparition: A crisis apparition is a specific type of out-of-body experience in which the ghost projects his or her astral body at a time of crisis or death to a particular percipient, usually a loved one.

Cold Spot: A cold spot is a mass of cold air that has no logical explanation. The theory is that when an entity tries to manifest it draws the warmth from the air producing a cold spot. Cold spots often travel from one area to another.

Demon: Demons are also believed to have the ability to possess or inhabit the body of humans, requiring an exorcism to remove it. A demon or demons are portrayed differently in different cultures. Some believe demons to be actual physical beings that can take the form of anything, including small children. Others consider demons as more of a spiritual force of evil battling for one's soul.

Disembodied Voice: A disembodied voice is an unknown voice that is actually heard that cannot be explained.

Drop-In Communicator:  A drop-in communicator is a spirit or entity that makes its presence known a medium. Its identity is usually unknown to the medium.

Electronic Voice Phenomena (EVP): The capture of spirit voices on magnetic tape as an audio recording. Many times, no sound is heard while the tape is recording. It's only upon playback that the harsh, hushed voices can be heard.

Elemental: Elemental spirits, are spirits that have never inhabited human form but contain basic human emotions, such as love, anger, fear, etc. Elemental spirits are usually entrusted with the care and guarding of sacred areas and lands and are considered to be ancient. They are often referred to as "earth spirits".

Ectoplasm: Ectoplasm is generally thought of as left over residue from paranormal activity. It is generally thought of a either a solid or vapor form.

Electromagnetic Fields (EMF):The electromagnetic field is a physical field produced by electrically charged objects. It affects the behavior of charged objects in the vicinity of the field. EMF’s are created naturally on the earth and also by man made objects. A high concentration of electromagnetic activity, in a specific area is considered a sign of paranormal activity. Prolonged exposure to high EMF's can actually cause paranoia and sometimes hallucinations. High-tension wires are a magnets for spirit. 

Extrasensory Perception (ESP):Otherwise known as a "sixth sense" ESP is an ability to perceive happenings or information that is normally not perceived through any of our traditional senses.

Exorcism: The expulsion of a ghost, spirit, demon, or other entity/entities thought to be possessing or haunting a human being or location.

Ghost: A form of apparition, usually the visual appearance of a deceased human's spirit soul.

Guardian spirit: A personal protective spirit often thought to be an angel.

Intuition: The act or faculty of knowing or sensing without the use of rational processes; immediate cognition often through mystical or paranormal means.

Intelligent Haunting: A paranormal activity that takes place around a person or location that is caused by an intelligent or conscious spirit.  Best described as the spirit of an individual who has passed away but not crossed over.  The spirit interacts with people trying to make its presence known through repeated sights, sounds, smells, and the manipulation of objects. 

Kirlian Photography: A type of high-voltage, high-frequency photography developed in the Soviet Union by Davidovich Kirlian, which captures an individual’s aura.

Kinetic Energy: Description for the movement of objects by a ghost.  A physical manifestation of an unseen force, which may move throw or even destroy objects. These ghosts are known as "Poltergeists" (german for "noisy ghost").

Lucid Dream: A dream in which the dreamer is conscious of the fact they are dreaming. 

Materialization:The manifestation or production of some physical object or person from the spirit world. The most difficult and impressive materialization is all (or even part of) a human spirit, especially if the ghost's face is recognizable. 

Medium: Someone who can communicate with spirits on behalf of another living being. The word suggests that the medium acts as a midway point, halfway between the worlds of the living and the dead. 

Mist:This is the most common form of ghosts on film. They are usually blankets of light or a mist that can take various shapes and sizes. Often mists are associated with full body apparitions. Some theorize that this could be ectoplasm, which some people believe is residue from paranormal activity.

Near-death experience (NDE): Term applied to experiences undergone by persons who either seem to be at the point of death (or who are even formally declared dead) but then recover, or who narrowly escape death (as in an automobile accident) without being seriously injured; most NDEs feature certain common elements, such as a feeling of indescribable peace, a sense of being out of one’ s body, a movement into a dark void or down a tunnel, seeing a brilliant light, and entering that light; reports may also feature seeing one’s life “flash” in front of them, the encountering of an unseen presence, or being greeted by deceased relatives or religious figures.

 Orb: Orbs are a form of energy that are of an unknown origin, although they’re thought by many paranormal researchers to be basic spirit forms. They usually cannot be seen by the human eye, but they can be viewed with night-vision equipment and recorded with photographic equipment.

Out-of-body experience: An experience, either spontaneous or induced, in which one’s center of consciousness seems to be in a location outside of one’s physical body; there are two types of OBE experiences, the first involving the person believing themselves to possess a duplicate body, occasionally attached to the physical body via a “sliver” cord, and the second involving the person feeling entirely bodiless; in either case, many OBEs are characterized by the individual looking down upon their inert, physical body, seeing and hearing people gathered around their physical form and perceiving objects and events normally outside the range of physical senses.

Poltergeist: A Poltergeist, which means noisy ghost in German, isn't really a ghost at all. It's actually a form of psychokinesis that is usually generated unconsciously by an adolescent, but may come from an adult with a troubled mind.   A poltergeist manifests itself in the form of knocking noises, object movement and other physical forms.

Possession: The event in which a person’s mind and soul can be possessed by a departed spirit.

Precognition: A form of ESP in which the target is some future event that cannot be deduced from normal, presently known data.

Premonition: A feeling or impression that something, usually dire in nature, is about to happen and about which no normal information is available.

Psychic Ability: The ability to sense that outside what is considered normal. 

Radio Voice Phenomenon (RVP):Receiving the voice of a deceased human being over a regular radio.

Residual Haunting:A residual haunting is an occurrence that may be somewhat described as a tape continuously playing an event in time. The entity is not aware of your presence and makes no attempt to interact. Some researchers believe that a residual haunting is not an actual entity at all, but just a look at the past like a video. The term residual many believe also applies to noises, phantom smells, even animal sightings.

Spirit Attachment: A type of possession. While the spirit does not actively possess the individual it does become attached to it. Much like haunting a person rather than a place.

Orb: Orbs are found in many photographs taken in known haunted or paranormal locations. They usually appear as circular white balls of light, but can be a variety of colors. Sometimes they appear solid and other times they can seem transparent. Orbs are widely believed to be concentrated energy created due to paranormal activity, or the actual manifestation of a spirit in the form of energy. Orbs have been documented in both still photos and video footage. Although some suspected orbs can be explained by dust particles or bugs, others remain a mystery. 

Poltergeist:A poltergeist is a spirit, sometimes demonic, that manifests itself by the physical movement and sometimes breaking of objects. Poltergeists are generally believed to be centered around a single individual. Usually that individual has been experiencing some form of emotional stress or trauma prior to manifestation.

Reincarnation: When the soul returns after death to a new body.  An explanation of past lives.

Retrocognition: Is the art of seeing or sensing the past. It has been claimed to be accomplished deliberately by psychics who seek access to the past events that have occurred to obtain information or gain an insight to a certain situation. Spontaneous psychic Retrocognition usually takes on the form of a vision or hallucination, and the surrounding scenes are replaced by surroundings of the past.

Ley lines: (sometimes written as leylines) are alignments between places of power, which may be magical, magnetic, or psychic in nature. These places of power are where two or more ley lines cross and are often known as Ley Nodes, Nodes, or Nexuses. Nodes are often regarded as spooky or unearthly. Stone Henge is said to be built on one such intersection. They are often invisible conduits of magical power that flow through the earth and air. 

Shadow People/Dark Shadows: Unexplainable dark shadows in photos and video, which sometimes may be seen with the naked eye.  These can be demons or departed spirits who are in darkness currently.  Therefore, their soul is visible as darkness instead of light. That is not to say they are bad people, but simply people who are void of truth or bound by untruths.

Vortex or Vortices:Physic vortices are a gateway between both realms (physical and spirit realms).  They are usually invisible to the naked eye but can appear as white in color and may appear as a funnel-shape.
